Justice. The TSJC maintains the 14-F for "a very intense public interest"
The
Government
and the Catalan parties take for granted that the regional elections will be held on February 14, despite the fact that the
Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia
could still endorse their postponement, and they have turned this Saturday to mobilize the electorate: the Executive ensuring that voting will be safe and the different candidates, with various political acts.
The assumption of 14-F has become evident in the meeting held this afternoon between the Minister of Foreign Action, Institutional Relations and Transparency,
Bernat Solé
, and representatives of the parliamentary groups at the so-called party table.
According to Government sources consulted by Efe, Solé has called on all the formations to work together with the idea that the elections will be on that date and has ensured that the
electoral colleges
will be "safe", both for voters and for members of the tables.
The general director of Citizen Participation and electoral processes of the Generalitat,
Ismael Peña-López
, has explained to the attendees some of the measures that could be adopted for this purpose:
antigen tests
would be carried out
before setting up the tables and
protective equipment would
be provided
individual
(EPI) to its members for the time slot in which it is recommended that people in quarantine vote: from seven to eight in the afternoon.
Likewise, it has been agreed to study the design of an
interactive map
that indicates the estimated waiting time at each voting point to facilitate citizens' planning and avoid crowds.
