▲ Self-quarantine male's seventh unauthorized going out scene

Local media reported that a man in his 40s, who returned to Taiwan from China, went out without permission seven times in three days during self-isolation in his residence.

The head of the village near Taichung in central Taiwan said a man in his forties in question ignored his recommendations and continued to go out without permission, leaving more than 80 neighboring households in a panic.

The Taichung Sanitation Bureau confirmed this and said it would impose fines of up to 1 million Taiwan dollars (about 39.5 million won) in accordance with applicable laws without tolerance.

Meanwhile, in Taiwan, which has been regarded as a model country for quarantine, the number of confirmed cases and quarantine targets is increasing.

According to Taiwanese media such as the Bin Fruits News, the number of quarantined personnel is 967, the highest number since Corona 19 landed in Taiwan.
