The Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army Miguel Angel Villarroya has presented his resignation to the Minister of Defense for non-compliance with health protocol.
He is accused of having been vaccinated against Covid-19 when he was not a priority.
But he is not the only one.
Other officers, senior officers, have also received this favor, which has provoked the indignation of the personnel and the soldiers who are in direct contact with the population and wait impatiently for
the vaccine
.
The controversy arises while for a few weeks the list of names of elected politicians from different parties who have benefited from the vaccination without being on the priority list, continues to swell.
Mayors, city councilors and politicians took advantage of the vaccination campaign in retirement homes to receive a dose that was not intended for them.
One million doses are currently given as a priority to medical staff and residents of retirement homes in Spain.
