Siegen (dpa / lnw) - The police in Siegen only caught a shoplifter after a warning shot had been fired.
The man was arrested, said a police spokeswoman on Sunday.
Accordingly, the suspect fled on Saturday afternoon after his theft in a supermarket.
As part of the search, an officer fired a shot as a warning, the police said.
But nobody was injured.
The public prosecutor's office took over the investigation, it said.
