The dominant Olympic champion in shot put, U.S. Ryan Crouser pushed the hall world record in a race in Fayetteville on Sunday.

Crouser posted a score of 22.82, which improved the Hall ME in Randy Barnes’s name by 16 cents.

Crouser, 28, also surpassed the old ME with his second best push, carrying 22.70.

Barnes had a record age of 32 years, pushing his results to 22.66 in January 1989.

- Pretty good start to 2021, Crouser told ESPN.

Outdoors, Crouser’s record has burst at 22.91 last July. Barnes ’ME is 23.12, which he pushed in May 1990, just a couple of months before he grumbled about anabolic steroids.
