“The Medicines Administration (TGA) has given prior authorization to Pfizer Australia Prt Ltd for its COVID-19 vaccine, COMIRNATY,” it said.
This makes Pfizer the first vaccine to be approved in Australia.
It is also reported that the authorization to use the vaccine is valid for two years.
Earlier, the World Health Organization signed an agreement for the supply of 40 million doses of vaccine against coronavirus infection COVID-19 from Pfizer and BioNTech through the COVAX mechanism.
