Dessau (AP) - The handball players of the SC DHfK Leipzig have gained self-confidence for the rest of the Bundesliga season with a victory at the preparatory tournament in Dessau.
The team of coach André Haber defeated the host second division Dessau-Roßlauer HV in two 20 minutes on Sunday with 25:20 (10: 8).
Lucas Krzikalla became the best thrower in Leipzig with eight goals.
In the final, also over 40 minutes of play, the DHfK prevailed against league rivals TBV Lemgo after an impressive second half with 21:15 (9: 9) and thus repeated its victory from the previous year.
The top scorer in the final was Martin Larsen with seven goals.
