Allegations have been raised that the candidate Park Bum-gye was directly or indirectly involved in the case of Kim Mo, who is being investigated by the prosecution for illegal multi-level stock investment.



Rep. Kim Do-eup, secretary of the People's Power of the National Assembly's Judiciary Committee, raised a suspicion in a press release, saying, "Candidate Park attended an event hosted by Kim, who served as the chief representative of the Passport Supporters' Meeting in August 2018. .



It is said that at the event held in Damyang, Jeollanam-do, Mr. Kim instructed the working-level team, "Let all investors who can come," he said.



Representatives of the event said that Mr. Kim was able to attract more than twice the usual investment thanks to showing off his friendship, such as singing and singing with candidate Park.



They claim that the intimate appearance of Candidate Park, who was an active member of the National Assembly, attending an event by Kim, the representative of an illegal stock investment company, influenced investors' decisions.



In a press release, Rep. Kim argued, "I have reasonable doubts whether Candidate Park condone or assisted Kim's illegality," and said, "We must resolve any suspicions such as whether or not Mr. Kim received any compensation."
