From 4 to 7 February, the curling-SM will be arranged in mixed double national teams and there will also be a championship match between the women's national team and the men's national team.

The whole thing is arranged in what has recently been designated Sweden's first national arena for curling - Jönköping curling arena.

- It is so incredibly gratifying that the curling elite is once again taking over Jönköping and our very recently appointed national arena.

We get to experience curling in absolute world class, which is also broadcast at prime time, says Caroline Törnblad, who is head of Meetings and Events at Destination Jönköping.

State-of-the-art arena

Destination Jönköping writes in a press release that the arena is state-of-the-art and equipped with the latest technology.

The hall has hosted many major events such as the World Cup 2019.

- That our arena is named a national arena is another confirmation of the class arena and Jönköping that the event city holds and it provides conditions for many new national and international events in the future, she says.

See the clip below when the Swedish curling championship was held in 2020 in Jönköping.

It was the third year in a row and 29 different teams participated with around 130 participants.
