Will he remember us

 "

“

Yuriy is better, he starts to wake up, to want to talk to us, to move, and that's a very good sign

, his mother, Nataliya Kruchenyk said on Saturday, interviewed by BFMTV in front of the Necker hospital.

Yuriy had a broken nose, arm, shoulders, ribs and fingers.

But above all he had his skull broken in several places.

He had surgery for over six hours, he was in a coma for over a week.

 "

The prognosis is quite encouraging as he has started moving his arms and hands so he won't be paralyzed,

" she explained.

Now we don't know how we're going to find him.

Will he remember us, be able to talk, work, play football, like before?

Nobody can tell because it is too early

.

Don't be "

afraid to speak

 "

According to her, her son was with a group of friends after leaving college near the Beaugrenelle shopping center, a business district in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, well-off and reputedly peaceful, when they were "

surprised by a bunch of young people from who knows where

 ”.

Witnesses spoke of a brawl between rival gangs, without being able to say whether or not the victim was part of one of them.

His mother found Yuriy "

in horrible condition

" in the fire engine that came to rescue him. "

It hurts very, very badly when you see your child begging you not to let him die,

 " she told BFMTV.

The police headquarters are increasing the number of patrols and trying to find the perpetrators in an extremely active way

", for his part declared on BFMTV the mayor (LR) of the 15th arrondissement, Philippe Goujon, calling on witnesses not to be "

afraid of talk and say what they saw

 ”.
