Pöhla / Saarbrücken (dpa / sn) - The film "Stollen" about the town of Pöhla in the Ore Mountains was awarded as the best documentary film at the Max Ophüls film festival.

According to the information, the prize is endowed with 7,500 euros.

In the strip, director Laura Reichwald draws the psychogram of the village in front of the Christmas backdrop of the Ore Mountains, announced the Central German Media Fund on Sunday.

She said she supported the film with 50,000 euros.

The festival in Saarbrücken is considered the most important festival for young German-language film.

Because of the corona pandemic, the 42nd edition took place entirely as an online edition.
