A government decree has reclassified it as an "orange zone", but the controversy between the presidency of the region and the central authorities remains sharp.

In Italy, we call it a "pasticcio", a muddled affair.

And this is far from being resolved.

Lombardy, which remains the region most affected by the pandemic, was wrongly classified at very high risk of contagion for a week due to erroneous regional statistics.

The central government corrected the shooting on Saturday by placing it in the orange zone.

According to the government, this classification was established on the basis of data initially provided by the region, without being able to take into account their downward correction at the last moment.

The president of the region, Attilio Fontana, member of the League (far right), for his part affirms that there has been "

no rectification in the data transmitted

" and that the Superior Council of Health has committed "

a serious error in the evaluation of the contamination index

 ”.

The region and a group of Lombard entrepreneurs have therefore filed an appeal before the administrative court of Rome so that the government compensates the owners of commercial activities forced to lower their curtain.

The losses are estimated at 600 million euros by the Confederation of traders
