Despite the lockdown, the corona situation in the Pinneberg and Flensburg district is becoming more and more tense.

The number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week rose on Saturday in the Pinneberg district to 202.1 and in Flensburg to 203.0.

This emerges from data that the Ministry of Health in Kiel published on Saturday evening.

According to the state ordinance, stricter rules come into force there, which the city of Flensburg and the Pinneberg district must implement by decree.

Citizens are only allowed to shop on their own, access to playgrounds must be regulated, schools and nursing homes should assess the situation individually.

With a seven-day incidence of over 200, districts and municipalities can also restrict freedom of movement to 15 kilometers around the place of residence.

"But there is no automatism for this measure," said Schleswig-Holstein's Minister of Health Heiner Garg (FDP) on January 11th.

One will see in individual cases whether there is an isolated outbreak or whether the virus is widely circulating in the population.

Business trips and visits to close family members are still allowed.

There are difficult situations in another major city in Schleswig-Holstein.

There was a large corona outbreak in the Sana clinics in Lübeck.

A spokeswoman confirmed that 79 employees had tested positive for the corona virus by Saturday.

In addition, 41 patients are cared for on the two Covid wards, two more in intensive care.

The vast majority of these patients were admitted to the hospital from outside due to a Covid 19 disease, it said.

According to the crisis plans, the hospital operations were reduced so that the emergency care and the care of the already inpatient patients could be maintained at all times, as the clinic announced.

All postponable planned interventions have been suspended in order to ensure treatment and reduce the number of contacts to a minimum.

The clinic is in close contact with the health department.

A possible cause has been identified

Both patients and employees would be tested for corona every two to three days.

In core areas, employees are even tested every day when they start work.

As a result of extensive research, according to the clinic, a symptom-free patient in the surgical station, who had initially tested negative on admission, but whose test result was then positive, has now been identified as a possible cause of the outbreak.

Incidence value at just under 100

The number of new corona infections confirmed in Hamburg increased by 265 on Sunday.

That is 61 more than on Saturday and 119 more than on Sunday a week ago, as the health authority announced (as of 11.50 a.m.)

The incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, rose from 90.9 to 97.2.

A week ago this value was 115.1.

Eleven more deaths

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Sunday, the Hamburg health authorities reported eleven more deaths.

This increased the total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 987. According to information from the health authorities, 455 corona patients were inpatients in Hamburg's hospitals as of Friday.
