Bad Freienwalde (dpa / bb) - An attentive neighbor has prevented a fraud in the Bad Freienwalder district of Schiffmühle (Märkisch-Oderland).
An 80-year-old was called by alleged relatives and asked for a larger sum of money, as the police department East announced on Sunday.
When the senior wanted to get into a taxi to get the money, his neighbor spoke to him and made him aware of the scam.
The police warned again that such phone calls should not be gullible.
