  On the afternoon of January 10, a deflagration accident occurred in the Wushan Gold Mine of Qixia, Shandong Wucailong Investment Co., Ltd., which resulted in damage to the shaft ladders, improper operation of the cage, and damage to the communication system. 22 people were trapped underground.

On the 17th, rescuers contacted the trapped workers.

At 11 am on the 24th, rescuers entered the middle section of the fourth section (546 meters above the ground) from the shaft, and successfully rescued one person, lifted the well and sent for medical treatment, and then rescued another 10 trapped miners.

  On the 24th, Huang Ming, secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China, video-linked the on-site headquarters, requesting to continue to do its best in rescue work and organize the search and rescue of trapped persons.

The front work group of the Emergency Management Department continued to guide emergency rescue at the accident site and tracked the progress of the accident investigation in a timely manner.

  At present, there are 17 professional rescue teams and 1 fire rescue team, with 633 rescuers and 407 sets of rescue equipment.
