Berlin (dpa / bb) - A suspected drug dealer who delivered to a customer in her car was caught in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.

A police patrol noticed the car on Zelterstrasse on Saturday evening, as the officials announced on Sunday.

A man waved on the side of the road and got into the car.

However, the trip only went briefly around the corner to Wichertstrasse, where the 38-year-old got out again.

When the security forces checked him, they found a sachet of drugs that he said he had received from the driver.

The man now has to answer for the violation of the Narcotics Act.

In the meantime, other police officers followed the car to Bornholmer Strasse.

In a search of the car ordered by the public prosecutor's office, 61 sales units with suspected drugs were found.

The 30-year-old driver carried around 1,800 euros in cash and another bag with her.

The money, drugs and a cell phone were confiscated.

When the woman's apartment was then searched, almost 300 other sales units came to light - and almost 16,000 euros in alleged income.

The items were confiscated along with a laptop and a notebook.
