Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The number of new corona infections confirmed in Hamburg increased by 265 on Sunday.
That is 61 more than on Saturday and 119 more than on Sunday a week ago, as the health authority announced (as of 11.50 a.m.)
The incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, rose from 90.9 to 97.2.
A week ago this value was 115.1.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Sunday, the Hamburg health authorities reported eleven more deaths.
This increased the total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 987. According to the Hamburg health authority, 44,725 people have been proven to have been infected with the coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic in the Hanseatic city.
According to RKI estimates, 36,600 of them are considered recovered.
According to information from the health authority, 455 corona patients were inpatient in Hamburg hospitals as of Friday.
101 of them were in intensive care units.
