Cairo (dpa) - The Swedish Bundesliga professional Albin Lagergren subsequently travels to the handball world championship in Egypt.
The 28-year-old from the Rhein-Neckar Löwen was re-nominated due to the injury-related loss of Linus Persson, as the Löwen announced on Saturday.
Lagergren should actually have flown to Egypt with the Swedes from the start, but had to cancel his World Cup participation shortly before the start of the tournament due to a corona infection.
In the final main round match against Russia on Sunday, one point is enough for Sweden to make it safely to the quarter-finals.
