Stena Scandinavica returned to its home port of Gothenburg on Wednesday and is currently at the quay at Majnabbeterminalen.

On Saturday afternoon, a total clean-up will begin, which will last for 24 hours.

On Sunday, Stena Scandinavica is expected to resign according to the regular schedule, but with completely new staff, according to Carl Mårtensson, press manager at Stena Line.

Do you know if it is "regular" Corona or the new mutation?

- We have been able to ascertain both variants on board.

Nine infected

How many people were on board and how many have been infected?

- A total of 63 people were on board during the shipyard break, of which nine tested positive.

Right now, five people have an ongoing infection with mild symptoms while four have recovered.

All nine are still isolated.

New tests have been performed by all crew members and subcontractors who were on board, but no new cases have been found.

What does a total clean-up mean?

- The ship will be decontaminated and disinfected according to Stena Line's strict safety routines and manual for infectious diseases, which includes steam engines and disinfectants.

The decontamination includes, among other things, all public spaces, staff rooms, the jetty, engine rooms, cabins and kitchens.
