Kiel (dpa / lno) - The Schleswig-Holstein Football Association (SHFV) does not want to create any models for a possible continuation of the game in the amateur classes for the time being.

This was announced by the presidium of the association following its meeting on Saturday.

It was not foreseeable when gaming would be possible again due to the corona restrictions, was the reason.

The SHFV is sticking to a continuation of the season that began in September last year.

Game operations were interrupted at the beginning of November due to the pandemic.

The reduced season sizes would allow the SHFV greater flexibility compared to other state associations, it says.

If the rest of the time does not allow a full match game until summer 2021, alternative tournament models are conceivable.

The promotion to the regional league should be retained.

The minimum duration of the training phase before resumption of play was not specified.

This should be adapted to the respective availability, announced the SHFV.

Different deadlines in the respective relays are possible with the consent of all clubs involved.
