Saudi Arabia: We are optimistic about an excellent relationship with the Biden administration

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, said yesterday that the Kingdom is optimistic that its relationship with the administration of US President, Joe Biden, will be "excellent", adding that it will continue negotiating with Washington regarding the Iranian nuclear agreement.

The minister expressed his sense of optimism, in an interview with Al Arabiya, and said that solid historical relations have linked Saudi Arabia with the various American administrations, indicating that Riyadh will continue this with Biden.

He added, "We have dealt, in an excellent way, with Republican and Democratic administrations."

Prince Faisal said, in his statements to Al-Arabiya: The appointments in the Biden administration indicate his understanding of the files.

The Saudi minister said, "We will consult with America regarding the agreement with Iran, so that it has a strong basis," explaining that European countries understand that the previous agreement with Tehran contained shortcomings.

He continued, "Our hand is extended for peace with Iran, but it does not abide by its agreements," stressing that Iran's calls for dialogue are aimed at procrastination.
