Both Karlskrona Alpina Klubb and the cross-country skiers in SOK are dependent on the weather for their artificial snow in Rödeby to be good.

The snow that was sprayed out recently was affected by the rain, therefore Rödebybacken has been kept closed.

- Our hope was to be able to open like tomorrow Sunday.

But it is not possible, right now we are trying to pack the snow that is on the slopes, says Sandra Eckerbom in the alpine club.

Karlskrona SOK's cross-country ski trail has done better and on Saturday it was used extensively by skiers of different ages.

In the coming week, when colder weather is promised, track manager Fredrik Nilsson plans to lay new artificial snow and improve - and extend the track.

- If there are those conditions so that we can produce snow, we will do it, he says.

More and more visitors during the pandemic

Hiking, skiing and barbecues attract several visitors to Rödeby's outdoor area.

And the snow mountains that are there are loved by the toboggans Elsa and Märta Bern, 8 and 5 years.

- It's great fun, they say with two big smiles.

Sisters Elsa, 8 and Märta, 5 love to go sledding and like to see more snow fall over Blekinge.
