Ilsenburg (dpa / sa) - Four masked men blew up an ATM in Ilsenburg in the Harz Mountains and stole around 90,000 euros in cash.

The total damage is around 210,000 euros, said the police in Halberstadt on Saturday.

Accordingly, the men broke into a bank branch in a shopping center at around 3:40 a.m.

They probably fed a gas mixture into the machine and caused it to explode.

The force was so great that the machine and parts of the building were damaged.

The technical relief organization secured the building.

The Magdeburg criminal police and the state criminal investigation office have started the investigation.
