Pedro Sánchez today broke his silence in the Federal Committee after the continuous clashes with United We Can in the Government and the perennial speech of his second vice president, Pablo Iglesias, that thanks to his influence and his pressure the Socialists adopt certain measures, especially of a social nature, with a vindication of what the PSOE is.

He has summed it up in three words: "We are the left."

And, he added, "we all know what that means."

"We are the left that is committed to the recognition of those who are not like us, for the sum and for the agreement. That builds bridges from the Government and from the opposition.

"We are the left that does not give up when things are not exactly as we thought," he repeated, in a message that seems dedicated to Iglesias, in which also, before a Podemos who declared himself willing to storm the heavens, that "he paradise "is health or public education promoted by socialist governments.

"Wealth does not fall from the sky, you have to believe it to distribute it", "the accounts must balance" and Budgets and laws are achieved with agreements, he pointed out, after Iglesias himself vetoed the presence of Citizens in the arithmetic of next year's accounts.

"The barricade is not a path," he stressed, at a time when the Podemos formation has intensified its internal crusade in the coalition Executive with constant public pressure to adapt the government's action to its interests.

The PSOE Electoral Committee, after many months without being convened, met this morning in Barcelona as an act to promote Salvador Illa's candidacy for the Generalitat.

Sánchez and the socialist leadership have traveled there while the rest of the members have followed him telematically.

Already at the beginning of his speech, Sánchez has addressed the vice president in a veiled way, who on Sunday at the Sixth, compared the flight to Belgium of Carles Puigdemont with the republican exile after the civil war, recalling the departure of senior officials from the Republic of Spain from Catalonia who "fled fascism" and who "left because they defended the law and feared for their lives."

The example of these people, he pointed out, in defense "for freedom" is the "foundation on which our democracy has been built."

"We have a debt," he continued, which "implies defending the rule of law and democratic laws, defending the Constitution," just what Puigdemont has not done.

The socialist leader has defended all the health and economic actions that the Government has taken during the pandemic and has stopped in the General State Budgets, whose approval with the votes of ERC and Bildu, generated much discomfort in the party, fundamentally by the support of the nationalist left.

Sánchez has not cited EH Bildu but has assured that the work to carry out the accounts "has been done well" because a "solid majority" has been achieved, with a "plurality of parties" that have added more votes than in the investiture .

The Budgets, he said, are scholarships, Minimum Vital Income or a rise in taxes, and this is what the socialists must transmit to Spanish society.

"That is why we tried to get them approved by all possible means," he insisted.

The president has presented 2021 as the year of "recovery" and has given all the importance to the vaccine, as a fundamental element to end the pandemic and its consequences.

It is the "symbol of hope", it is "a collective enterprise" and therefore all of us must "promote it with all strength".

It supposes "progress in the face of superstition", "order of solidarity in the face of privileges" and Europe in the face of nationalist selfishness. "In this way Sánchez has addressed the information about politicians, individuals and even the military leadership of the Ministry of Defense who have skipped the order imposed by Health on vaccination, passing in front of the risk groups that are in first place, and it has also made a slight criticism of the pro-independence positions.
