Dresden (dpa / sn) - At the beginning of the federal election year, almost all political parties in Saxony continue to fight against the decline in membership.
However, the decline has weakened, as a dpa poll at party headquarters showed.
The Greens, on the other hand, have even increased their membership, increasing from 2,664 to 2,871 by the end of December 2020.
That was a new membership record.
The CDU lost around 100 members in the same period.
Nevertheless, with 10,200 members it was still the strongest party in Saxony.
According to the company's own information, the number of deaths and departures exceeded the around 35 new entrants per month.
