Consuelo Ordóñez,
sister of
Gregorio Ordóñez
and president of the Colectivo de Víctimas del Terrorismo (Covite) has denounced that the
"political bosses of ETA" now in charge of EH Bildu have managed to increase their power
while stepping on the "red carpet" of politics while applauding the gang's killers as they leave the prisons.
Ordóñez
denies that there has been a political and moral victory
over ETA terrorism after verifying that with a
"negotiated end of ETA"
more than
350 unpunished murders
with their free perpetrators
remain unclear
.
Ordóñez's complaint occurs when the EH Bildu spokesperson in the Basque Parliament
Maddalen Iriarte has defended that "each one" can interpret ETA terrorism as "fair or unfair".
Consuelo Ordóñez has once again remembered the political and ethical legacy of her brother Gregorio, who was assassinated on
January 23, 1995
by an ETA command in San Sebastián inside the La Cepa bar when he was getting ready to have lunch.
Accompanied by Ana Iribar, the widow of Gregorio Ordóñez, and by institutional and political representatives, Consuelo Ordóñez has questioned the "political success" of
the presence of "ETA's political leaders" in institutions
with increasing political power when they still they have not condemned ETA terrorism.
Ordóñez's intervention comes after EH Bildu has managed in the last twelve months to
multiply its political influence with the agreements reached in Madrid and in Navarra with the PSOE
.
In Congress, the formation of Otegi facilitated the inauguration of Sánchez, has supported his budgets and has been configured as one of the partners in the Cortes Generales.
In Navarra, EH Bildu also guaranteed the investiture of the socialist
María Chivite
, has supported her two presumptions and is the ally of the PSN government with Geroa Bai and Podemos.
"Those who never stained their hands with blood, but ordered the murders and applauded them, today lead Bildu, formerly Herri Batasuna, and
continue to justify the existence of ETA,
" he lamented next to the grave of his brother and after the act of I remember at the Polloe act in San Sebastián.
The also president of Covite has underlined the
"cynicism" of Otegi
and its leaders by stating that they "empathize" with the victims when they dedicate themselves to asking by letter, as EL MUNDO advanced, the gang's prisoners to join EH Bildu to strengthen this sovereign coalition.
"They also call on them to remain proud of their terrorist past
and not to repent of their crimes," he denounced.
Ordóñez's complaint occurs when EH Bildu spokesperson in the Basque Parliament Maddalen Iriarte maintains that
ETA's terrorism could be considered "fair" based on the "story"
that is made by each citizen.
In an interview in El Correo, the journalist and representative of EH Bildu argues that the Abertzale Left has already recognized the damage caused to the victims but that "each one will have their own story to tell" about whether the ETA terrorism was "fair or unfair" that caused almost 1,000 deaths.
