• Restrictions: Madrid advances the curfew at 10 p.m., at 9 p.m. the closure of the hotel trade and limits meetings to a maximum of four people

Within the new restrictions imposed by the Community of Madrid due to the increase in coronavirus infections, the prohibition of meetings in private homes limited the activity of those citizens who lived alone in the care of third parties - minors, elderly or dependents.

But this Saturday with the publication of the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCAM) the exception to the rule has appeared.

The first point of article 2 of the decree signed by the Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, includes the following sentence: "People who live alone, who may be part of a single extended coexistence unit. Each coexistence unit can only integrate to a single person living alone. "

That is, those people who do not share their residence may receive a visit at their homes from a person with whom they do not live.

In addition, these exceptions also include the case of "people with a marital or partner relationship who live in different addresses" and minors who are going to meet with "their parents or legal guardians" if the family nucleus does not live in the same place as would be the case, for example, of families with divorced parents.

Thus, neither of these two groups would have to comply with the prohibition established by the Community of Madrid at first in a general way.

With the contagion rate exceeding 800 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (804) and increasing, the Community of Madrid had announced yesterday afternoon among its new measures the advance of the curfew at 10 p.m., the closure of shops and hospitality at 9 pm, the limitation of meetings abroad to four people and the prohibition of meetings in private homes.

One last restriction from which the assumptions now established in the BOCAM would be excluded.
