“Now the counting is underway, according to preliminary data, in total, about 300 minors were detained in various regions of Russia: in Moscow - the figure was about 70, in St. Petersburg - about 30 children,” she said on the website of the ombudsman for the rights of the child.

At the same time, she added that these figures will still be clarified and many of the detained children have already been transferred to their parents.

“Children have no place in illegal actions,” she added.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee began investigating the use of violence against law enforcement officers during an unauthorized event in the center of Moscow.

As noted in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 4 thousand people are taking part in the unauthorized action.
