Düsseldorf (dpa) - The game of FC Ingolstadt in the 3rd division at KFC Uerdingen, which was actually planned for Sunday, has been canceled due to corona infections.

After the entire team of hosts were sent into quarantine at home because of two Covid 19 cases, the Upper Bavarian football club also made positive findings public on Saturday.

The FCI did not initially announce how many cases there are and who is affected.

“Due to the compliance with all hygiene requirements, we are very surprised by the results and are now doing everything we can to clarify possible causes.

We are therefore in close contact with the health department with regard to the further procedure, ”Managing Director Manuel Sternisa was quoted as saying.

All tests were negative on Wednesday.

It is unclear for the time being whether the home game against Halle on Wednesday can be played as planned.
