Arsenal’s trip to this season’s Cup, which celebrated football’s FA Cup victory last summer, came to a head when Southampton defeated London away at home in a 4-0 round of the 4th game.

The home crowd cheered when, after 24 minutes, Gabriel's Gabriel's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.

Arsenal, who won a record 14 titles in the FA Cup, had never lost to Southampton in a traditional cup race before.

A setback was also rare, as the Arsenal net was last scored on December 26 in a league game against Chelsea.

The paint had been clean for a total of 508 minutes.

Southampton will face in the 5th round at Wolverhampton away. On Friday night, the Wolves briskly cleared the sixth-level Chorley 1-0.
