January 23, 2021 The UK currently has the dismal record of the highest coronavirus death rate in the world per 100,000 inhabitants.

This is what Johns Hopkins University notes in its constant monitoring of the pandemic.



Great Britain, which on Wednesday recorded the record of daily deaths (1,820) and an average in the previous seven days of 1,240 new deaths per day, has a death rate of 142.53 deaths from Covid-19 per 100 thousand inhabitants and a budget total of 96,166 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, out of a population of 66 million inhabitants



Following in the ranking, the Czech Republic, with 140.91 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants (15,270 total deaths) and Italy, third overall in the world, with 139.34 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants (84,674 total deaths).

The United States, although with an overall death toll of 414,124, has a death rate of 125.35 per 100 thousand inhabitants.
