"He can only develop political activity from Russia"

Arnaud Dubien, director of the Franco-Russian Observatory, considers that Alexeï Navalny had no interest in playing permanent exile.

"He can only develop political activity from Russia. No exile, except Lenin, has succeeded in changing the course of things in Russia," he explains.

"The Kremlin believes it gave Navalny a choice. He could remain free in the West, now ignoring him is no longer possible."

The mere name of opponent number 1 goes badly in the Kremlin.
