Rostock (dpa / mv) - In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 243 new corona infections were reported on Saturday.
This was announced by the State Office for Health and Social Affairs in Rostock.
On Saturday a week ago, there were still 254 new infections.
Eight other people died in connection with a corona infection - there are now a total of 363 in the northeast.
The total number of detected infections is now 18,350. 14,346 people are considered to have recovered.
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days (seven-day incidence) rose slightly to 106.3 (+0.6) since the previous day.
The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald continues to record the highest incidence value.
It is now 196.9 and is considered a corona hotspot.
The city of Rostock has the lowest value with 37.3.

The number of corona patients treated in clinics fell to 357 compared to the previous day (previous day: 383), the number of corona patients in intensive care units fell to 57 (previous day: 83).
