Munich (dpa / lby) - The Bavarian Interior Ministry has activated a website on which citizens can find out about certain restrictions in the fight against the corona pandemic, such as the 15-kilometer radius around hotspots.

The page lists the counties and urban districts in which the 15-kilometer rule currently applies because their seven-day incidence in one of the past seven days was above the limit of 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days .

Anyone can use an interactive map to view the 15-kilometer radius of their place of residence.

Bavaria has banned tourist excursions for people who live in a corona hotspot outside a radius of 15 kilometers.

30 districts and independent cities were affected on Friday.

At least the districts of Cham and Miesbach and the independent city of Schwabach had announced that the rule would expire on Saturday after the seven-day period has expired and the 200 mark has fallen below.

The Miesbach, located on the edge of the Alps, had already made it clear the day before that it initially did not want to accept excursionists from other regions.

Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) reminded on Friday that the Bavarian police will be checking more popular excursion destinations in the coming days.

This also applies to the regions for which tourist day trips have been prohibited.

The focus should be on parking spaces for hikers, for example.

Since January 11, the police have found a total of 165 violations of the regulations on tourist day trips in around 3700 controls.

"Even if the current development of the incidence figures already gives cause for hope: We must absolutely follow the corona protective measures in a disciplined manner in the coming weeks", appealed Herrmann.

Violation of the 15-kilometer rule threatens a fine of 500 euros.
