A garbage collector was hit by a car this Friday in Toulouse, his vital prognosis was engaged when he was evacuated to the CHU emergency by firefighters.

The accident happened around 5 a.m., rue Ernest-Renan, in the Izards district.

The 40-year-old officer was struck as he was crossing the road.

From a police source, the first testimonies seem to indicate that the driver involved, a 52-year-old man, was not driving at an excessive speed at the time of the collision.

His blood alcohol level and the drug test came back negative.

The investigation was entrusted to the accident brigade of the Departmental Security.
