Overseas Network, January 22. According to Taiwan media reports, Taiwan’s "independence" group rushed into the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall on the morning of the 22nd and threw eggs at the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek, and was arrested by the Taipei City Police.

According to "Central News Agency", "Zhongshi News Network" and other media reports, Chen Junhan, a member of Taiwan's "independence" group "Taiwan State", rushed into the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall on the morning of the 22nd and threw eggs at the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek, which was stopped by management personnel.

The Taipei City Police sent personnel to the scene after being reported, and it is not ruled out that the person was transferred to the Taipei Prefectural Procuratorate for investigation on suspicions of violating the "Cultural Asset Preservation Law."

According to the report, the Taipei City Police Department received a report at 9 o'clock in the morning that someone threw something at the Chiang Kai-shek statue in the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. He immediately sent personnel to the scene and brought back a man.

The police said that the egg liquid had spread to the construction site and called for a rational initiative and not to protest by illegal means.

The "independence faction" group claimed that Taiwan's cultural department recently stated that it would not dismantle the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek for the time being, so it would throw eggs in protest and demanded the removal of "authoritarian symbols."

After the incident, many Taiwanese netizens expressed disgust, leaving a message saying, "Is there a problem with the'independence faction''s mind", "I fear that the world will not be chaotic, and whether there are other tricks?" "Should be severely punished!"

It is reported that this is not the first time that the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek have suffered.

In October 2019, "Taiwan Independence" activist Chen Junhan also poured red ink on a bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, and was subsequently subdued on the spot and taken to the police station.

In July 2018, many "independence" youths splashed paint in the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to protest, and the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek was dyed red.

However, the Taiwan police only fined the two people who splashed the paint 2,000 NT dollars (about 442 yuan).

Regarding the “independence” youth splashing paint, the Kuomintang legislative body’s caucus once condemned that it was tearing apart social ethnic groups. The policy and a series of splashes of paint were caused by the encouragement and connivance of the high-level DPP authorities. "Fake reforms and real struggles" are inferior and low-level "transitional justice" of the "independence faction".

After the DPP authorities came to power, they "spared no effort" on the topic of "de-Chiangization". Under the so-called "transitional justice" slogan, Chiang Kai-shek's bronze statues and sculptures throughout Taiwan were repeatedly damaged and even "beheaded."

The bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek in Yangmingshan Park in Taiwan was melted and cut in its neck in 2017. The Shilin District Court of Taiwan ruled that the "independence" activist Guo Zhigang, on the grounds that the bronze statue is still intact and can still be seen by others Lin Tingying was not guilty, and was questioned by Taiwanese netizens for the judgment based solely on political colors.
