Osnabrück (dpa / lni) - The parents of daycare children in Lower Saxony see themselves at the limit of their resilience in view of the lockdown, according to a recent survey.

The "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung" quoted from a survey by the Lower Saxony State Parents' Representation (LEV), which ran until Friday evening, according to which more than half of the 9,300 parents surveyed so far found the current situation stressful or very stressful.

Only 3.6 percent of those surveyed found the lockdown unproblematic.

“In view of this, we do not understand that there is still no long-term strategy at the federal level, said LEV chairman Christine Heymann-Splinter of the newspaper.

The children suffered from the restricted contact and are increasingly frightened.

Those who are not in emergency care are particularly hard hit.

Only 38 percent of those surveyed so far use it.

The children who have to stay at home would have to forego early childhood education as well as contact with their peers.

However, the LEV chairwoman praised the fact that Lower Saxony, despite the resolutions at the federal level, is basically sticking to offering a wide range of emergency care.
