A 30-year-old man was tried since Monday before the Assize Court of Ille-et-Vilaine for violence and acts of torture and barbarism on his partner.

During all this time, the thirty-something lived the horror, whipped and hit by her companion.
Sometimes deprived of food, she was forbidden to dress in clean clothes and was forced to sleep on the floor in the bathroom, the daily said.
Her ordeal ended in 2017 when the mother of two had called for help from her window.
His companion was then arrested.
While examining the victim, a doctor had prescribed him a hundred days of temporary interruption of work.
The Assize Court sentenced the accused to sixteen years in prison with a socio-judicial follow-up of five years.
He also had his parental authority withdrawn.
