Munich (dpa / lby) - The Robert Koch Institute in Bavaria still counts a number of more than 200 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week in seven districts and independent cities.

That comes from figures from Friday as of midnight.

About a week ago there were still 30 districts and independent cities.

The institute has the highest values for the city of Ansbach with 289.5 and the districts of Wunsiedel with 262.9 and Regen with 246.7 - followed by the districts of Berchtesgadener Land (224.7), Tirschenreuth (220.7), Passau (204.5) and the city of Coburg with 202.1.

The limit of 200 infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week is significant because it triggers the so-called 15-kilometer rule.

After that, residents are only allowed to go on excursions within a radius of no more than 15 kilometers.

The rule comes into force automatically for the first time as soon as the RKI reports more than 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week in urban or rural districts.

The authorities can only override this rule if the value falls below this value for at least seven consecutive days.

It can also still apply in cities and districts where the figure has fallen below 200 again.

For all of Bavaria, the RKI currently shows an incidence of 114.9, 2689 new infections within 24 hours and 139 new deaths.
