According to his press service, Lukashenka said this during a meeting with the chairman of the Mogilev regional executive committee Leonid Zaits, who reported on the development of the region.

“There are no certainties: we do not know how the world economy will develop (a very large fall), how the pandemic will develop, which affects not only the minds of people, but also the economy, how global processes will go in the world - you see what turbulence even in the stronghold of democracy, ”the Belarusian leader noted, adding that 2021 is a special year, and this must be taken into account.

In this regard, he called on "to mobilize everything that is" and "to take on something new."

“And the limited funds, and a certain pressure from all sides: from within, from without.

Of course, we will not collapse on our knees (this is unambiguous), but we must take this into account in our development, ”Lukashenka stressed.

Earlier, Lukashenka said that Belarus is capable of pursuing an independent policy, despite its size.

He also expressed the opinion that the imposing sanctions against the Belarusian side are trying to strangle the country's economy.

In July, Lukashenka noted that Belarusians "never kneel" before the challenges of the times.
