The fatal shooting took place on the night of December 12, 2019. The 28-year-old was lured out of the gate where he lived and where several armed men were waiting.

He was shot several times and died on the spot.

Just a few hours later, three men were arrested who were later denied charges of murder.

Fingerprints found

The evidence was extensive at the trial in the district court, but the three men were not considered to be linked to the murder, despite the fingerprints on the firearms found.

Fingerprints from several people were also found on the two pistols and according to the court, it could not be ruled out that some other people committed the murder.

The three men were acquitted and released, but before the Court of Appeal hearings, the police and prosecutors had succeeded in further strengthening the evidence.

Two of the three murder accused free

When the trial in the Court of Appeal ended, Chief Prosecutor Marina Amonsson demanded that the three be arrested again.

The decision on the detention issue was postponed and for the time being, two of the three men were released again - the third is currently serving a prison sentence for another crime and is already in custody.

Only four days later did the arrest warrant come, and since then the two men released on murder charges have been sought by the police.

So far in vain.

- They have not been arrested yet.

But we will find them, says Josefine Perming Tengqvist, head of the police department for serious crimes.

The Court of Appeal for Lower Norrland announces its verdict in the case at 11.00.
