Erfurt (dpa / th) - The general assembly of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) Erfurt has called for a corona exit strategy from the state government at its general assembly.

In a paper adopted on Thursday, a binding perspective for the companies affected by closings and restrictions is called for, the IHK announced on Friday.

"This includes in particular a binding opening date for closed and restricted sectors," emphasized IHK President Dieter Bauhaus.

In an “Agenda of the Feasible” the companies demand, among other things, that rapid tests be supported in companies.

Many companies would offer rapid tests by trained staff for their employees and use them in a legally secure manner, it said.

For this, however, the legal framework would have to be created beforehand.

However, a test requirement was rejected.

For the event industry in particular, preparations urgently need to be made and guidelines drawn up for the restart, it said.

This also includes stipulating conditions with which, for seven-day infection numbers of 50 and 25 perspectives, are made possible.

A gradual opening of restaurants and hotels should begin by March 1st at the latest, observing distance and hygiene rules.

The retail trade "as an essential part of inner-city revitalization" must also reopen.

It should rather be opened with restrictions than closed completely.

In addition, the IHK members called for the initially temporary extension of shop opening times on Sundays and public holidays, "so that the retail trade can regain its footing and lost sales can be compensated."
