Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The controversial pandemic law for North Rhine-Westphalia is to be revised according to the will of the black-yellow government coalition.

According to dpa information, the new version is intended to involve the parliament more strongly and better beforehand in restricting basic rights.

The current pandemic law caused debate before it was passed, as it enables, among other things, the confiscation of medical material in a pandemic situation.

This pandemic situation is to be extended by the state parliament by two months until the end of March, according to the will of black and yellow.

According to information from parliamentary groups, the corresponding motion is to be introduced in the plenary next week.

For the new pandemic law, the CDU and FDP want to get the opposition on board, which had also called for more parliamentary participation in encroachments on fundamental rights due to Corona.

The SPD and the Greens were reportedly invited to a discussion about the draft for next week.
