"From February 1, we considered it possible to cancel the restriction on regular flights and allow all airlines that previously worked in Georgia or want to start working to do their own thing," TASS quoted Turnava as saying.

Since March 21, 2020, Georgia has completely stopped flights with all countries due to the situation with the coronavirus infection COVID-19.

In August, Georgia opened regular flights with Germany, France, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and then some flights resumed from the Georgian city of Kutaisi.

In November, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that representatives of Russia and Georgia discussed the prospects for resuming flights between the two countries.
