Rosenheim (dpa) - Family members of Siegfried Fischbacher want to say goodbye to the famous magician on Friday (10:00 a.m.) in Rosenheim, Bavaria.
A memorial service is planned in his birthplace, as his sister Dolore told the German press agency.
"It's a family and very small gathering because of the pandemic - and we want that calmly."
The funeral will not take place in Rosenheim.
It was a "soul service," as she said.
According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, the celebration will take place in the church where Fischbacher was once baptized.
The world-famous magician, who wrote show history with his long-time partner Roy Horn as "Siegfried & Roy" with white tigers, died of cancer on January 13 at the age of 81 in Las Vegas.
His sister is a religious member of a Bavarian monastery.
She organized the funeral service together with another brother, according to information from the "Bild" newspaper.
Roy Horn died around eight months before Fischbacher.
