January 22, 2021 Police counter-terrorism operation, in Liguria and in other regions, in the circles of the radical right contiguous to supremacist terrorism. A 22-year-old young man from Savona was arrested by the police, the recipient of an order of custody in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Genoa Court; 12 searches against as many qualified contacts of the suspect which involved, in addition to Savona and Genoa, the cities of Turin, Cagliari, Forlì-Cesena, Palermo, Perugia, Bologna and Cuneo. The 22-year-old is accused of having formed an association with the aim of terrorism as well as having carried out propaganda and incitement to crime for reasons of racial discrimination aggravated by denial. The investigative activity, directed by the District Prosecutor of Genoa, is conducted by the Digos of Genoa and Savona and by the Service for the Contrast of Extremism and Internal Terrorism of the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police-UCIGOS.
