Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The number of registered corona infections has increased by 1,523 cases in Baden-Württemberg.

In addition, 72 other deaths related to the corona virus were reported, as the State Health Office announced on Friday (as of 4 p.m.).

This means that a total of 282 889 infections and 6585 deaths among infected people have been registered in the south-west since the beginning of the pandemic.

243,309 people are considered recovered.

The number of new infections within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants is 91.5 nationwide.

A total of 43 urban and rural districts are above the limit of 50 reported cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days.

However, more and more municipalities in the southwest are approaching the incidence value of 50.

Among the 44 city and rural districts, there are currently five that are approaching the threshold from which health authorities can track infection chains again and loosening is possible.

In the Tübingen district, the value continued to fall and is currently 43.7.

The Hohenlohekreis had a value of 50.6, the urban district of Heidelberg 52.6, the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald 53.1 and the district of Böblingen 54.5.

The city district of Heilbronn carried the red lantern with 181.7.

According to data from the Divi intensive care register, 478 Covid 19 patients in the southwest are currently in intensive care, as the authority further announced.

283 of them would be artificially ventilated.

Around 89 percent of the 2,454 operable intensive care beds are occupied.
