10 first-degree relatives are a maximum for attending weddings in Dubai

The Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai decided to limit attendance at social events, weddings and private parties to first-degree relatives, and to only 10 people, whether in hotels or homes, as of next Wednesday.

It also decided to oblige restaurants and hookah cafes to increase the distance between tables from two to three meters, while reducing the number of people allowed to sit at the table from 10 to 7 for restaurants, and 4 for hookah cafes.

She said that the decision comes due to the high number of violations of non-compliance with precautionary and preventive measures, calling on all members of society, including citizens, residents and visitors, as well as institutions of the government and private sectors, to fully commit to applying preventive measures to confront the "Covid-19" virus.

She stressed the need for visitors to centers, restaurants, shops and closed places to adhere to the strict application of precautionary measures, in order to maintain the health and safety of everyone, adding that there will be no leniency in implementing the law and imposing financial fines on those who violate the measures, procedures and instructions adopted to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, which include A fine for anyone who does not comply with wearing a muzzle in closed places, in addition to a fine for places that do not adhere to preventive measures, including restaurants, shops and shopping centers.

The committee indicated that it would not allow any violations that would cause a regression in the face of the Coronavirus and limit its spread, by ignoring the efforts of thousands of heroes in the first lines of defense of citizens and residents, and hundreds of volunteers of various nationalities, stressing the importance of community support and the cooperation of its members in reducing the number of infections And addressing this global crisis.

She stressed that laxity in applying precautionary measures by individuals or institutions exposes them to financial fines, stressing the need to maintain physical distancing, washing hands and using masks at all times outside the home, especially in closed places such as shopping centers and restaurants, to ensure the safety of everyone.
