The Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin, quipped Friday on "the 50 shades of LR", accusing some of the Republican deputies of seeking "all the arguments" not to approve the "separatism" bill.

"There are 50 shades of LR, we understand it!" Exclaimed the minister who intervened during the long debates within the special committee on this bill, blaming the right-wing opposition positions he considered contradictory.

"Between an amendment from Mr. (Eric) Ciotti who wants to ban everything - I hardly caricature (...) -, and Madame (Annie) Genevard who thinks the opposite; between Xavier Breton, very libertarian, who says that We must not intervene and Mr. (Eric) Diard who tells us that ultimately it is very interesting, I would be very curious to know the final vote on this text ", he said.

The minister attacked the deputy Anne-Laure Blin directly: "It has been three days Ms. Blin that you find us all the arguments not to vote the text", he reproached him.

"You cannot ask the government to be tough and when it is, not to give it the weapons to be tough. It is completely irresponsible or totally political," he concluded.
