A 23-year-old woman accuses a policewoman of being responsible for her miscarriage.

Debora was four and a half months pregnant when she was arrested in Garges-les-Gonnesses, in Val-d'Oise, on December 10.

She has since filed a complaint for willful violence by a person holding public authority which resulted in permanent mutilation.

She herself was summoned to court in July after a complaint from the police for contempt.

The agent "formally disputes" the accusations of the young woman.

IGPN investigation

The Pontoise public prosecutor's office opened an investigation in early January, entrusted to the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN), "to determine precisely the circumstances of the arrest denounced by the young woman", in a shopping center in the city.

Debora and her cousin were then fined for not wearing the mask.

As he walked away, insults were said to have been uttered by the cousin, who was then arrested.

While taking to intervene, Debora was allegedly brutalized by a policewoman.

"She grabbed me by the arm and pushed me violently against the wall. While she was pushing me I told her several times that I was pregnant", she tells the microphone of Europe 1.

His lawyer denounces a "causal link"

She was then allegedly shaken by the same policewoman.

Two days later Debora is hospitalized and ends up having a miscarriage.

For his lawyer, Vincent Brengarth, the events are linked.

"There is a striking contrast between the observations which were made by the gynecologist a few days before and those which were made a few days after. The medical elements, the testimonies and this chronology lead us to consider that there is a link of causality between police intervention and the loss of Debora's child. "

Video surveillance and a pedestrian camera carried by a police officer are in use.

According to the first elements of the investigation, no blow would have been struck.

Witnesses have not yet responded to IGPN.
